Key Points:The number of people visiting German attractions rose by about 20 per cent to more then 3 million during the past two yearsThe German tourism industry was one of the fastest growing in the developed worldSource: AP Photo / Alexander ZemlianichenkoIt was only last week that Australian tourists took a trip through the sights and sounds of the German city, including the famous Frankies amusement parks, which have become increasingly popular over the past few years.
“People have grown to expect a lot more from them in the last few years, and they’re certainly happy to take the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and the food,” said Mark Wilson, head of the amusement park business at the German government.
“They’ll be able to do that without the fear of a police car.”
The German government said in a statement the country’s tourist attractions had “become a major attraction for people from around Europe”.
“The number is up more than 20 per one thousand, which is about twice as much as the previous year,” a spokesperson said.
“This is the first year that the number of visitors has been growing at an impressive rate.”
German tourism representatives say the theme parks had been growing steadily for the past several years and they are now “a major attraction” for visitors from around Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
“The numbers are increasing, and we have been able to maintain that pace for the last two years,” said Karl Schulte, head tour operator at the Bavarian-based company, Frankies.
“We now have more than 3 million visitors a year, and the number has increased by 20 per thousand in the year to June.”
The number one attraction was Frankies, with more than 1 million visitors.
There were a total of about 4,000 attractions in Germany, according to the German Tourism Ministry, with the number rising each year.
“Frankies has become a major tourist attraction, and it has become one of our top attractions,” Mr Schultec said.’
German tourist culture’A spokesman for the city’s tourism office, Daniel Stolzenberg, said that although visitors to Frankies were growing, the city still had a lot to offer.
“German tourist industry is growing, and more and more tourists are coming to Germany to visit and experience the many sights and attractions that the city has to offer,” he said.
In addition to the amusement parks and the Frankies theme park, there were numerous restaurants and cafes in the city and visitors to Germany also flocked to the city for events and events, like concerts and sporting events.
“Germany is a very popular destination for visitors,” Mr Stolberg said.
He said the number was up by around 1 per one million tourists, which he said was more than the number that would have stayed in the UK during the Olympics.
“I think that the growth of tourism is a good sign for the future of the city, and of the country,” he added.
“But of course, it’s a great success story in itself, and people can’t be too happy with that.”
German tourists, however, have long complained about the quality of the food in the country, with many saying they were fed up with being treated poorly and treated like second-class citizens.
Mr Schulteburg said the country had a long way to go to make up for the failings of the previous administration.
“When we got the first Olympics in 1992, the German tourists got really excited,” he told the ABC.
“And they had no idea what was happening at that time.”
In 2017, we had a very good Olympics and now we have the 2020 Olympics, and so on.
“Then, there are many things that are still being done in terms of the quality and the quality is improving.”
The city’s economic growth has also been hindered by an ageing population, and Mr Schulenburg said that was hurting tourism.
“At the moment, it seems like we are losing tourists because people are getting older,” he explained.
“You can’t keep doing this and expect people to come back, so we need to do something about that.”
