The new $10 million “Easter Island” amusement park in Miami Beach is expected to open in 2017.
The theme park opened in April and will be one of three Disney theme parks in the United States to debut in 2017, joining the park at Universal Orlando in Orlando and Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
A total of 10 attractions will be in operation.
The park will be based on a “tourist attraction” concept, with themed attractions such as a haunted house, “gorgeous” swimming pools and a water slide.
It will also include a children’s area, which will feature interactive activities for kids ages 6 to 10.
The parks will be open to the public beginning March 25.
The Walt Disney World Resort, which includes the new “Easters Island” park, is open in Orlando.
In 2017, the resort will have the world’s largest and most popular Disney theme park in Orlando, according to Disney.
The resort has been a popular destination for families and vacationers.
“It’s a really exciting year for the Disney resort and we’re very excited to be opening the resort in Orlando this year,” said Jeffrey Katzenberg, president of Disney Parks and Resorts.
The new “Cadillac” theme park, set to open next year, will be a Disney theme based on the iconic car, which features cars, restaurants, stores and entertainment.
It is expected that the theme park will feature the “Dumbo” ride, which is based on Dumbo, a character from “The Wizard of Oz.”
In the 2020s, Disney will add a theme park near Disneyland, and the park will expand into two new attractions, “Eagles Nest” and “Battleship,” that will be part of the Walt Disney Imagineering Studios.
The expansion will be “the largest expansion in the history of the Disney theme area,” said David Tull, president and chief executive of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, during the Orlando Economic Development Association (OEDA) meeting.
