Tivoli’s new Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game Saturday night at the park will mark the first time since it opened in 2012 that the Penguins have played a game on a Sunday.
The Penguins’ game will be held on Saturday at 7 p.m.
ET at the Penguins Memorial Stadium, just across from the stadium where the NHL’s Pittsburgh Steelers play their regular-season home games.
Pittsburgh’s game Saturday was originally scheduled for Thursday, but the team decided to postpone the game, citing weather conditions.
The team will have a special time-out for the game on Saturday.
It will be the Penguins’ second home game of the season.
The season opener on Saturday will be Pittsburgh’s first against a playoff opponent since they played the New York Rangers in October of last year.
Tivoli officials have said they anticipate playing more regular-time games during the next couple of seasons, when the park opens a second indoor rink.
Toledo, Ohio, has hosted two games at the venue in the past.
The Steelers play the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Oct. 11, and the Cleveland Browns on Sunday Oct. 19.
